On Saturday, December 7, Greystone Programs partnered with the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson to spread cheer and kindness in our community. Through our Petals for the Heart program, the Girl Scouts joined hands to create beautiful floral arrangements using upcycled flowers. The bouquets were donated to local nursing homes, bringing warmth and color to residents’ days.
The collaboration perfectly blended the Girl Scouts’ commitment to service with Petals for the Heart’s mission to upcycle flowers. The program gives flowers a second life, fosters meaningful connections, and provides enriching opportunities for the volunteers.
Working alongside Greystone staff and Petals for the Heart Participants, the young volunteers learned how to transform gently used flowers into charming arrangements. The activity was not only fun but also a powerful reminder of the impact small acts of kindness can have.
Petals for the Heart demonstrates Greystone Programs’ dedication to enhancing lives and fostering inclusion. By repurposing flowers that would otherwise go to waste, Petals for the Heart nurtures both the environment and the human spirit. Greystone Programs is proud to collaborate with organizations like the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, who share our passion for making a difference. Together, we create opportunities for young people to engage in meaningful service while bringing joy to those who need it most.
Thank you to the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson for their incredible contribution to this meaningful day. Together, we’re creating a brighter, more connected community—one bouquet at a time.
