Expressive Arts

At Greystone, we believe Expressive Art therapies are not just about creating art, music, or movement; they're about the process of self-discovery and communication through these mediums. This can improve self-esteem, better emotional regulation and enhance social skills. Moreover, engaging in these creative activities can foster a sense of accomplishment and joy, contributing to overall well-being.

Join us on a journey where individuals can discover the therapeutic benefits of art, music, and movement, unlocking new avenues for self-discovery and personal well-being. Expressive Arts is privately funded and to continue these programs we rely on the support of our community.

Equine Therapy

Equine therapy, also known as horse therapy or hippotherapy, is a therapeutic approach that involves interactions between individuals and horses to achieve specific therapeutic goals. It is facilitated by trained professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, or certified therapeutic riding instructors. Equine therapy can take various forms, including therapeutic riding, horse grooming, leading horses through obstacle courses, and other activities that involve interaction with horses.

Equine therapy is recognized as a valuable complementary intervention for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, often integrated into a broader treatment plan. It has the potential to address a range of physical, emotional, and social challenges, promoting holistic development and enhancing the overall quality of life for participants.

Art Therapy

Individuals are invited into a space where creativity knows no bounds. Free from expectations, participants can immerse themselves in the artistic process, experimenting with a variety of mediums. This environment allows them to "get lost" in the act of creation, fostering a sense of liberation and personal fulfillment.

Music Therapy

Our therapeutic music groups take the excitement of music making to new heights. Participants explore the world of creative expression through singing, dancing, and playing their own instruments. The power of music becomes a tool for self-discovery and joy, creating a harmonious space for personal growth.
